In the clip Sexuality is showed in various ways, for example when Maude in the first shot is looking into the mirror with the girl costume is shown to show how she is holding it against her and then a non diegetic voice over is used to show what she is thinking in her head "she looked beautiful".
When Maude is painting the girl she is staring at the girl with her mouth open and then it shows the parts of the body she is looking at which are the sexual parts and it shows these with two still shots and then it shown her holding the paintbrush and it drips onto her in slow motion and also plays sound effects to try and create suspense.
The tracking shot when Maude is reading the girls writing shows her looking astonished and then there is a non diegetic voice over saying "The words became suddenly alive" she says this because being a lesbian in them days was frowned upon and even in modern days people are ashamed of being "different" sexualities.
When the zoom shot of Maude hesitating wether to touch the girl is shown, as she stop hesitating and begins to move her hand across her body music is played which creates a calming mood it then switches to a tracking shot of where it shows her carrying on down her body until it shows her legs, it then used a transition to fade to the next shot that shows Maude staring at the girl.
Sexuality is presented when the man is holding Maude around the throat and she says "I've lost heart for this" this shows that Maude likes the girl and also the reason she is a lesbian may be because she had been mistreated by men.
The camera focuses on Maude's hand which shows a sexual representation because she is wearing a white glove over it which shows purity.
The scene when she is painting and the guy is looking down at her shows tension and intimacy between the man and Maude, also it shows that the man in the image holds power and authority over Maude.
